Imaginez un peu.. Appartenir à plusieurs univers, aucun ne vous correspond parfaitement mais, sans ce mélange, votre identité aurait du mal à être complète.
A partir de là, on trace une frontière en essayant de définir les limites entre ces identités entremêlées. Aujourd’hui, au sein de la diaspora maghrébine on retrouve de nombreux individus chez qui cette double identité offre des perspectives intéressantes.
Nous avons rencontré plusieurs individus avec un mélange éclectique et nous leur avons demandé :
Qu’est-ce qui fait de vous ce que vous êtes grâce à votre mélange d’identités ?
Nom: Imène Benmansour.
Chekhchoukha: Algérienne vivant en France.
Quand on me demande qui je suis, je répond instinctivement franco-algérienne.
Ni française, ni algérienne, mais les deux à la fois.
Comme l’on ne sépare pas ce mot, on ne peut séparer mon identité. Ce mélange linguistique, qui se traduit d’ailleurs autant en derja qu’en français, cette mixité culturelle, artistique, culinaire, littéraire font de moi ce que je suis aujourd’hui.
Pouvoir avoir autant de richesses, autant d’influences, arabe, amazigh, occidentale, sur lesquelles m’appuyer, me construire, je ne le rejetterai jamais.

Imagine belonging to multiple worlds. No one world fits you perfectly but without the melange, your identity would struggle to exude.
At what point do we draw a line on where the identity mergence starts and ends? A view of two or maybe even more perspectives that exist within the bodies of the Maghrabi diaspora is now a part and parcel of the everyday.
We spoke to several individuals with an eclectic mix and asked the question:

Checkchoukha: Algerian living France.
When people ask me who I am, I respond instinctively Franco-Algerian.
Neither French nor Algerian, but both at the same time.
As we do not separate this word, one can not separate my identity. This linguistic mixture, which is translated as much in Derja as in French, this cultural, artistic, culinary and literary mixity make me who I am today.
I will never reject the fact to be able to have as much wealth as many influences, Arab, Amazigh, Western, on which I can lean and build myself on.
